Gov’t Vehicle Transporting KCPE Papers in Ol Kalou Crashes, 16 Injured

A GK vehicle transporting Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination papers was Tuesday evening involved in a nasty accident at Ol-Kalou in Nyandarua County.

The vehicle, which was carrying five headteachers, five Administration Police officers and five NYS officers, was transporting exam papers from Githunguri, Hezta, Hospital, St Thomas and Manyatta Primary schools when the accident happened.

The driver, Lawrence Gitahi, revealed that he was trying to avoid hitting a motorcycle which had suddenly moved to the centre of the road.

“Unfortunately, the steering wheel locked. I don’t know why it locked,” Mr Gitahi was quoted by the Nation.
