It has now become evident that PAS Arthur Amug Osiya has openly declared his allegiance to UDA, yet his actions reveal a deeper mission to fight from within and derail the candidacy of Eng. Vincent Sidai, the most preferred choice of the people of Busia.Rumours have now been confirmed: Osiya is nothing but a state project. His clandestine meetings with Dr. Otuoma at the Governor’s Karen residence in Nairobi expose the betrayal.
His task is simple lock out Eng. Vincent Sidai from becoming the 3rd Governor of Busia.Instead of lifting the community, Osiya has chosen to wage war against fellow Tesos. He is in a cold war with Eng. Sidai, the front-runner to unseat Otuoma. He is at loggerheads with Nairobi City County Majority Leader Hon. Peter Imwatok. He has been persistently fighting Hon. Okuu Kaunya, MP for Teso North.The pattern is clear:
Osiya does not want other Tesos to rise. His mission is to scatter Teso unity, protect Otuoma’s failing grip on Busia, and bargain for a government appointment under the so-called broad-based government.
But the people of Busia can see through the scheme. Osiya’s burning of the midnight oil to secure Otuoma’s seat is not for service, not for development, but for selfish survival.Busia deserves leaders who stand with the people, not government projects planted to weaken and divide communities.
