Two schools separately lost property at the weekend in Nairobi and Tharaka Nithi counties following dormitory fires.
The incidents were reported barely a week after the institutions opened their doors for the third term.
In Nairobi, more than ten students of Highway High School lost their belongings after a fire burnt their dormitory.
Some 78 students of Kirege Mixed secondary school in Tharaka Nithi county also lost their belongings under similar circumstances.
Police, who have launched investigations into the incidents, said no injury was reported.
The fires, whose cause remain unknown, follow in the wake of more than 150 cases reported as schools were about to end their second term.
Most of the affected institutions are yet to rebuild the destroyed premises, while others have barred students suspected of causing the fires from classes until their cases are resolved.
